I was asked to compile a book of photography for a friend of mine who is a practicing architect in Chicago. As a graphic designer who has worked in the architecture industry, I have an overwhelming appreciation for their sense of form, scale and symmetry. I can only dream of taking photographs with, what my friend calls “truth and beauty“.

The book will be a personal collection of his travels and architectural shots. I think this is an interesting proposition because my client allowed me to narrow down his work into what I found to be most appealing from an artistic point of view of a non-architect. Here is a sketch that starts to formulate my plan on sequence, repetition and scale. More to come as it develops…
